Fine Arts
Rancho Solano Fine Arts
Program
Through strong electives and varied after school programs, students
are exposed to fundamental programs building foundations in the
Fine Arts.
Enjoying classic literature, singing with joy, painting a canvas,
performing on stage-these are the beginnings of fine art awareness.
An on-site library provides the timeless stories of the classics,
while the classroom teacher encourages self-expression through Art.
Basic singing instruction is taught by music teachers. Dance and
music introduce students to the performing arts while participation
in the musical spring show allows a child to develop performance
confidence and encourages talent and creativity. Fine arts practice
and appreciation is encouraged through lessons in humanities,
creative art classes, drama, music and a study of classic
children's literature. Beginning instrument training is also
offered in the Elementary arts program. Instruction in the
performing arts includes drama, dance, cheer, choir and play
production.
All students have an opportunity to showcase their talent in a
musical spring show at the end of the school year.
Prep School
Not only are the arts at the core of the high school curriculum,
they enrich the soul of Rancho Solano and provide tangible
opportunities for inspired expression. The Fine and Performing Arts
Program offers a wide variety of classes in vocal and instrumental
music, theatre, dance, and the visual arts. Opportunities abound
for our talented students to perform for their peers and the
community in various instrumental, vocal, and theatrical ensembles,
as well as exhibit their visual art creations.
