Middle School
Academic Overview
At the heart of the Rancho Solano Middle School philosophy is a
traditional, challenging curriculum rooted in fundamentals which
are presented by caring professionals who teach subjects at least
one year above grade level. Departmentalized core subjects include
Math, which extends to Algebra 2; LanguageArts, presented via two
avenues: Literature and English; Social Studies, which includes two
years of American History; aggressively hands-on Life and Physical
Sciences; Physical Education and Health; Spanish; and
Technology.
RSPS provides its students numerous opportunities to hone their
ability to impact their peers through leadership. Students
participate in forming campus policy through Student Government,
celebrate the combination of academics and service in the RSPS
chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, conduct an aggressive
RSPS Community Service Program through campus committees, and run
student stores and snack bar. Leadership skills are promoted
through these opportunities.
