Be the Change: Rancho Solano Preparatory High School
Our college preparatory curriculum emphasizes critical thinking and is brought to life in a student-centered environment. We use the Education Research Bureau CTP4 assessment to measure critical thinking (Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning).
Rancho Solano Preparatory School is the only private school in the greater Phoenix area to receive IB authorization. The IB Diploma Programme is recognized worldwide for its academic rigor and holistic approach to education.
The average rate of IB students into university/college is 22 percentage points higher than the average acceptance rate of the total population. The acceptance rate of IB students into Ivy League institutions (Princeton, Yale, Brown, Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, University of Pennsylvania) is between 3 and 13 percentage points higher compared to the total population acceptance rate.
Our academic programs are steered by proven Meritas methodologies and measured by state and national assessments.
Our excellent academics, advisory program, small class sizes and commitment to service learning give students a unique opportunity. They grow and learn through taking on leadership roles and problem solving in class and extracurricular activities. Students are encouraged and supported as they pursue individual interests within the community of learners.
The caring and collaborative environment at Rancho Prep encourages friendships between students, faculty and administrators. It also creates an atmosphere of safety and mutual respect.
