Early Learning Center Admissions Process

We believe that curiosity, creativity, indpendence, cooperation, and persistence enhance early learning and development. Our Early Learning Childhood curriculum promotes social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development in a safe and nurturing environment.

Steps Toward Admission: Grade PK2 - Kindergarten

Preschool through Kindergarten admission is based on a birthdate of Septemeber 1st. Students will be placed in PreK-2, PreK-3, and PreK-4 based on the age they turn during that calendar year.

The following instructions will help guide you through your child’s application process.  The staff of the Admissions Office is available to answer any questions you may have to help you through this process.

  1. Submit a Request For Information to schedule a visit of our campus, or schedule a telephone conversation with our admissions office. This ensures your request will be handled as quickly as possible.

  2. Visit the Rancho Solano Preparatory Lower School Campus

  3. Submit an Online Application
    • When filling out the application you will need to complete and submit/upload the following:
      • Copy of birth certificate (required)
      • Current and past year grade report or transcript (where applicable)
      • Current standardized test scores (where applicable)

  4. Submit required academic forms
    • If your child is currently receiving schooling, you will also be required to download and submit the following forms to your child’s current school for completion:
  5. Admissions Testing (Kindergarten Only)
    • Upon receipt of the completed application and required forms, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule admissions testing. Rancho Solano uses the AABL (Admission Assessment for Beginning Learners).

  6. Participate in a Shadow Day
    • All applicants to the ELC are required to participate in a shadow experience. This can vary depending on each family's unique circumstances, so once you have completed your application, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule your visit.

After those steps have been taken, our admissions team will evaluate each candidate based on the application, the candidate’s school record, teacher recommendations, interviews and academic testing.

We wish you every success in the admissions process!
